Our very own Jeff Kongs was featured on VoyageLA.com, and had the opportunity to talk up the film! Here's a snippet below, but click HERE to check out the whole thing!
Jeff, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was raised on a small farm on the outskirts of Kansas City, Missouri with a wonderfully close-knit family. Growing up making films, doing plays, and absorbing as much entertainment as possible, I became obsessed with the artistic lifestyle. I studied acting at Missouri State University and later transferred to Columbia College Chicago to get my B.A. in Film. I moved to Los Angeles in January of 2005 to further my career as an actor and creator.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
[It] is a film production company I helped form called Carnivore, LLC. It’s named after a script that my wife, her sister and two of our friends wrote. The script is a horror film that’s being shopped at the moment–trying to secure funding. We’re all very proud of the script and we can’t wait to see it come to life. Carnivore, the Company, is at its beginning stages of existence and we’re hoping the Carnivore Film will bring us more work as our name gets out there. We have several other completed scripts waiting in the wings (including the first one I’ve ever written) and would love the opportunity to share these stories as well. We do specialize in the horror/suspense genre as each of us has a real love of that style. However, we are open to branching out as we have ideas for both a film about baseball and a slice-of-life character-driven film.
